Glen-Worden students to serve breakfast at City Mission and make pillows for Women's and Children's Shelter

Project began seven years ago; activities happening March 4, 5 and 8

Nearly four dozen grade 5 students and their parents at Glen-Worden will serve a pancake breakfast to residents and families at the City Mission from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 8.
Breakfast will be served at the City Mission Dining Center, 512 Smith Street, Schenectady.
"This is our seventh annual breakfast at the City Mission and continues to be a wonderful success," said Terry Rodriguez, Glen-Worden social worker and one of the event organizers. "It has expanded since that first year and now benefits men, women and children."
Leading up to the Saturday breakfast, students will:
• Bake muffins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4 at the City Mission Dining Center.
• Make pillows and centerpieces at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at the Glen-Worden cafeteria.
