Several middle and high school students
competed in the New York State BMX Championship on September 25 in
New Paltz.
All of the riders race at the TriCity BMX in Rotterdam. They are shown at right - Click on the photo to enlarge it.
Here are the results from the statewide competition:
▪ Senior Jacob Bushee (17 rookie), ranked 3rd;
▪ Sophomore Andrew Smith (16 challenger), ranked 1st;
▪ Freshman Abby Foyt (14 challenger), ranked 1st;
▪ Gr. 8 student Matt Traficante (13 challenger), ranked 2nd;
▪ Gr. 6 student Mia Traficante (11 challenger), ranked 1st;
▪ Gr. 8 student Alyssa Morris (12 expert) (12 cruiser), ranked 1st;
▪ Gr. 6 student Taya Morris (10 challenger), ranked 4th
