HOURS:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 7:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
After School Research: Students wishing to use the library after school for research must arrive by 2:30 p.m. Late bus passes are issued to bus students using the library after school.
LIBRARY USE:
Students may use the library from classes or study halls, either individually or in groups. Teachers schedule classes periodically throughout the year and always accompany classes to the library.
LIBRARY BEHAVIOR:
Students are expected to behave in an appropriate manner suitable to a library. The library is a place for research, study and reading and all patrons should behave in a manner that is considerate of others in the library.
COMPUTER USE:
The computers in the library are made available to students for research for class assignments. All use must comply with Scotia-Glenville's Acceptable Telecommunications Use Policy.
CIRCULATION:
All books and materials are signed out electronically by the librarian or staff member using the Dynix system. The loan period is two (2) weeks, and all books may be renewed. Students with overdues must return them prior to signing out additional books.
RESERVE AND REFERENCE BOOKS:
All books placed on reserve carts for various research projects must be used in the library. Reserve books may be signed out overnight to accommodate special needs or circumstances at the discretion of the Library Media Specialist. Reserve and reference books may be signed out after Period 8.
MAGAZINES:
Students may sign out a magazine (for use in the library) at the circulation desk. Magazines are provided for research as well as for leisure reading.
