Virtually me! brings cyberbulling lessons to Middle school students

March 11, 2011

The more than 600 students in grades 6, 7 and 8 learned the limitations and excesses of technology and cyberbullying through the Virtually Me! production in the auditorium today.

Taking place at Wi-Fi High in Anywhere, USA, Virtually Me! is an original, educational musical tackling several issues surrounding cyber-bullying and technology abuse in a relatable and entertaining way.

Desperate to stay in the loop 24/7, freshmen classmates Lindsay, Zeke, Jasper, and Chloe of Wi-Fi High are constantly “logged on.”

Through their various stories, Virtually Me! reminds students that while these modern tools of technology are able to keep us in the know 24/7, at the same time, they need to be used responsibly. In addition to sharing an important message, this live musical production is filled with characters, songs and high- energy choreography for today’s blogging, emailing, Facebooking, IM’ing, and texting generation.
