Makerspace Club members check out and create with cubelets

February 1, 2017

What does the black one do again? What about the red one? And what about that transparent one!?
Those thoughts were running through the minds of the 11 students in the Makerspace Club after school at the Middle School today.

They were learning to work with cubelets - small plastic blocks or cubes that you combine in a way to create an object that moves, makes noise or flashes a light. Each cube has its own function.

The brain of the cubelets is the blue/gray one - that's the battery cube that brings the other ones to life!

Library Media Specialist Debbie Collins led them through the lesson.

Here are a few pictures of students working with cubelets. Click on the image to enlarge it.
