Online Databases Access a variety of newspaper, magazine, maps, almanacs, journal articles and much more by just entering a password (see Ms. Jankowski for passwaords). Databases are provided by SGCSD and NOVEL (a division of the New York State Library)! Kids Search--A great database for grades three through five. Searchasaurus--A super choice of K-3 students, searchasaurus has a variety of resources including encylopedias and notable children's magazines. This search also features an animal encyclopedia. EBSCO--Great for a research project or just personal research, students and families can search a variety of journals, magazines (including Consumer Reports), and newspapers. ABC CLIO--This state geography database is a great resources for research, homework help, and just personal knowledge. World Book Online--Find up-to-date information quickly and easily. |
