Glen-Worden students put on play, have breakfast with seniors

June 14, 2011

Students in Sandy Belfance's and Laura O'Keefe's grade 2 classes put on a play, "Three of a Kind," and had breakfast with seniors from the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on North Ballston Avenue, Scotia, today.

Over the past several years, seniors from Baptist have often visited and worked with grade 2 students.

"Students have become very close with the elders and look forward to their visits," said Belfance. Bonville recounted a story of a now-deceased Baptist resident who said visiting Glen-Worden students was "something that she looked forward to very much."
