Natalie Graham
To
put it succinctly, Natalie is intelligent, kind, ambitious, and thoughtful.
When it comes to academics, she always goes the distance and the extra mile. If
a challenging course could fit into her schedule, she took it. When a course
wasnÕt offered at our school, she signed up to take it at our local community
college. She will graduate in the top 20% of her class and receive an Advanced
Regents Diploma with Honors. She has been on high honor roll every semester in
high school with a 90+ average.
Natalie has always wanted to enter the field of medicine. She was accelerated in math, doubled up on her science classes, and participated in summer science research classes at Union College, all in preparation for taking as many sciences and math classes as possible prior to college.
Beyond the classroom, she
has completed over 100 volunteer hours in our GIVE program, has earned the
Silver Award as a Girl Scout, and serves as Vice President of the National
Honor Society.
Natalie will attend SUNY
Buffalo in the fall as a pre-med student.
Congratulations, Natalie,
and best wishes in your future!

Jia-Yu
Huang
Jia-Yu (Jeye E) is a student
who is always in motion. Trying to catch her
is like trying to catch mercury. It is hard to believe the amount
of things she fits into a day Ð and is still an excellent student! She helps her parents run
their business, many times serving as an
interpreter for them. She is also not afraid to dive in and help in any other way she can, such as waitressing,
refilling the buffet, or busing
tables.
Jia-Yu teachers respect her work. They use words
like Òself- motivatedÓ,
ÒdedicatedÓ, ÒoutgoingÓ, ÒresponsibleÓ and ÒmatureÓ to describe her. Jia has participated in many
school activities. She has been active in FBLA, DECA, and FCCLA. Jia has been a
member of Student Senate since 9th grade, and has served as class treasurer. She is involved in five GIVE
activities, and this year started her own GIVE program by going to Sacandaga
Elementary school during her lunch time to help a young Chinese boy who does not speak English. To
no oneÕs surprise, Jia was inducted into the National Honor Society this year,
and serves this year as its treasurer. Jia is also a gifted athlete, and has
been a member of the field hockey team all four years in HS.
Jia-Yu
will be attending PACE University in the fall with a potential major
in International Business.
Congratulations, Jia, and we wish you the
best in your future!

Gabrielle Mason
Gabby Mason has a fabulous voice! Rising from a
backup singer in our school musicals to the lead, she has become one of the
best singers Scotia-Glenville has ever produced. GabbyÕs greatest love is music
Ð She has been in Choralaires for three years, Harmonettes since ninth grade, and participated in Suburban
Council Chorus, Area All-State Chorus, All-County Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and All
State Chorus. All of these groups are highly select, with All State Chorus being
composed of only the very best of the best from all over the state. Gabby
continues her love of music outside of school, participating in the Capital
District Youth Chorale since 7th grade, and has been chosen for
Melodies of Christmas Chorale since 10th
grade. She was also selected for the New York State Summer School of the Arts
for Choral Studies, a month long program at SUNY Fredonia. Gabby has expanded
her love of music to include performing
in the HS musicals, which she has done since 9th grade. In 11th and 12 grade, she had starring
roles.
Gabby participated in GIVE programs and served as
the Director of Key
Calls for two years. She is also a member of Amnesty International and National Honor
Society. Gabby ranks in the top 5% of
her class. Gabby played Field Hockey for three years, was the student director
of the fall play her senior year. She also hosted two French students at
separate times during her junior year. Gabby has been Student of the Quarter
twice and is an AP Scholar.
She will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the fall
with a major in Vocal Performing and music education.

Daniel Rice
Not
only is Daniel a high achieving student academically, he also excels in
community service. Daniel has been deliberate in choosing his extra curricular
activities over the years and has chosen to participate in those programs that
require a good deal of personal interaction such as Community Connections and Regional Food Bank. Through GIVE, Daniel has also participated in
the Service Dog Companions and Recycling programs. Each of these programs
requires a personal investment of oneÕs time and talent, as well as
coordination among volunteers and participants. Because Daniel had a genuine
personal interest in these programs, he was committed to extending himself to
others. Daniel gave over 175 hours
of service to the GIVE program in his high school career. Daniel is also a member of the National
Honor Society and assisted in 9th grade orientation and other
community activities where he gave another 50 hours of his time to help others.
Daniel
leaves Scotia-Glenville ranked in the top 5% of the class and will attend St.
JohnÕs University in the fall. Daniel plans to study Actuarial Sciences.
Congratulations,
Daniel, and best wishes for a happy and successful future!
