Want to run for Board of Education this year?

Three seats are up for election in the May 20, 2008 vote this year. The seats are currently held by Kurt Ahnert, Pamela Carbone and Benjamin Conlon.

The incumbent board members have not publicly announced their intentions.

Packets with petitions and other information will be available at the Business Office, 382-1222, after March 1. Candidates must collect signatures from at least 42 S-G residents. The petitions are due back on Monday, April 21, by 5 p.m.

Each seat carries a three-year term. Meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Meetings are more frequent during budget discussions in March and early April. Executive sessions are often held after the Monday evening meetings.
