David J. Bucciferro, of 323 Glen Avenue, is seeking a first term on the board.

He is director of rehabilitation services for the NYS Office of Mental Health. He oversees the development and implementation of community-based mental health services.

Bucciferro holds a bachelor’s degree from Siena College and a Certificate of Psychiatric Rehabilitation from Boston University.

He is a member of the high school PTSA and president of the All Sports Booster Club.

He has been involved in several activities, including chair of the Lincoln School Shared Decision Making Committee, president of Pop Warner Football and president of Lincoln School Pack 2 Cub Scouts.

He received the PTA Council Founders’ Day award this year.

He attends St. Joseph’s Church.

He and his wife, Linda, have three children: Erica Bucciferro Flanigan, age 26; Bruce, a college freshman at SCCC, and Alex, a freshman at the high school.

He has lived in S-G for 21 years.
